Your own chats, saved on your own computer, and never sent anywhere. ChatFiler saves the AI conversation open in your tab, from your own account, as a file you keep. All of it: some AI sites unload older messages as you scroll, which is how exports lose their beginning. ChatFiler scrolls the whole chat and collects every message. Works with ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini. ChatFiler is independently developed and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by OpenAI, Anthropic or Google. Click the toolbar button, or press Alt+Shift+E, then choose Export, or Add a summary, then export. FREE, NO DAILY LIMIT - Markdown with a title, dates and link header, ready for Obsidian or Notion. - PDF through Chrome's Save as PDF: selectable text, and long code lines wrap instead of being cut off. - Code keeps its language. Tables, lists, math, links and pictures come along, including pictures the AI made. Files end with a one-line "Exported with ChatFiler" footer. THE BRIEF, AT THE TOP OF YOUR FILE - Every question you asked, listed and linked to its answer. - A 3 to 5 point summary, with decisions and next steps when the chat has them. ChatFiler puts a ready-made request in your chat's message box. You press Send, and the chat's answer goes in your file. Nothing extra to install. PRIVATE BY DESIGN - Reads a tab only after you click the button on it. No access to all websites. - No analytics, no account, no servers of ours. - Keeps nothing but the file you save. No history, no stored copies. GOOD TO KNOW - The summary request and its answer stay in that chat's history on the site; ChatFiler leaves both out of your file. - Skip the summary and the Brief still lists your questions. - The file shows when the conversation happened, if the chat page shows a date. - Pictures are fetched again from the chat site, or copied from the screen, so they end up inside your file. - Claude artifacts are listed by name only.
