Overview
Bidirectional tab mover: Normal ↔ Incognito. Use Alt+M for single tab or Alt+Shift+M for all tabs (Option+M/Option+Shift+M on Mac).
🔒 Incognito Tab Mover: Elevate Your Private Browsing Experience Version 2.3 Update: Added a right-click menu option to move tabs (no keyboard shortcut needed). Also fixed "Move all tabs" so every tab now moves reliably (system pages like chrome:// are skipped safely instead of stopping the batch), plus clearer in-app guidance. Navigating the web privately is vital when you need a clean slate or wish to keep your browsing sessions confidential. However, we've all been there: opening a tab in incognito mode for privacy, only to realize it's something we need for the longer term. Traditionally, you're left with two less-than-ideal choices: bookmarking the page for future reference, or the tedious task of manually copying and opening it in a regular browser window. Introducing "Incognito Tab Mover", the seamless bridge between privacy and productivity. Our extension effortlessly transfers tabs between incognito and regular windows with simple keystrokes: ALT+M (Option+M on Mac) for a single tab, or ALT+SHIFT+M (Option+Shift+M on Mac) to move all tabs at once. Prefer the mouse? Just right-click any page and choose "Move this tab" or "Move all tabs". URLs are smoothly transitioned while session history remains untouched, preserving your privacy. NEW - Right-Click Menu: Move the current tab (or all tabs) straight from the page's right-click menu. Perfect if you'd rather not reach for a keyboard shortcut. Key features: - Move a single tab: ALT+M (Option+M on Mac) - Move all tabs at once: ALT+SHIFT+M (Option+Shift+M on Mac) - Right-click menu: move a tab or all tabs from the page menu, no shortcut needed - Works both ways: Normal to Incognito, and Incognito to Normal - Privacy first: only the URL is moved, never your session history Tab Groups Note: When using Chrome's tab groups, the extension moves the individual tabs but does not preserve the group structure. For best results with tab groups, use ALT+SHIFT+M to move all tabs at once. The extension works with both expanded and collapsed tab groups, and no drag-and-drop action is needed. ⚠️ Important: You must enable "Allow in Incognito" for this extension to function. After installing, open chrome://extensions, find Incognito Tab Mover, click Details, and turn on "Allow in incognito". Not working, or no "Allow in incognito" option? That usually means Incognito mode is disabled in your browser, often by an organization or work policy (common on managed devices). The extension cannot open incognito windows until Incognito is enabled. You can check at chrome://policy, or press Ctrl+Shift+N (Cmd+Shift+N on Mac); if no incognito window opens, it is turned off. On a work device, ask your IT admin or use a personal Chrome profile. Embrace the convenience of "Incognito Tab Mover" and transform how you manage your tabs. With privacy at its core (only the URL is moved, never your session history), this tool is the perfect companion for anyone looking to streamline their browsing without compromising security or convenience.
