Most pages bury what you need under everything else. implighter finds it. Tell it why you're on the page — "prepare for a system design interview, quick and practical" — and it reads the page, highlights the parts that serve that goal, and dims or hides the rest. The same article gives different results for different goals, because relevance depends on what you came for. This is not a generic "important sentences" highlighter. HIGHLIGHTING • Scores every block of text against your goal, not against generic importance. Marketing copy, author bios, newsletter pitches and comment threads fade out. • Three display modes. Dim the noise, hide it outright, or keep only the highlights. Headings always survive, so you never lose your place. • Removes dead sections whole. A comment thread loses its usernames, timestamps and Reply links too — not just the comments. • Keeps working as the page grows. Content loaded by "Show all comments" or by infinite scroll is scored as it arrives. • Copy what survived as Markdown — a goal-filtered version of the page, ready to paste into your notes. SUMMARIES • Summarize any page into an overview, key points, and anything worth acting on. Copy it or download it as Markdown. • Summarize a YouTube video from its transcript, with timestamps you click to jump straight to the moment. Reads the transcript through your own YouTube session, so it works on anything you can watch. • Summarize just a text selection from the right-click menu. • Both summary prompts are editable, so the format and tone are yours. BRING YOUR OWN API KEY implighter has no server and no subscription. It talks directly to Anthropic, OpenAI or Groq using your own API key, so you pay the provider for what you use and nothing else. You will need a key before it does anything. Groq has a free tier with no card required if you want to try it first; Anthropic gives the sharpest results. PRIVACY Nothing runs until you invoke it. There is no content script sitting on every page you visit — the extension activates only when you click it, and only on that tab. No analytics. No telemetry. No account. Page text goes to the AI provider you chose and nowhere else, and your API key never leaves your browser except to reach that provider.
