Record Wow helps you turn your screen into a clear explanation. Capture and annotate screenshots, extract English text, or record a walkthrough with your camera and microphone. CAPTURE SCREENSHOTS - Capture the visible page, a full page, or a selected area. - Capture after a three-second delay, or choose a screen or app window. - Open an image from your device or paste one from your clipboard. MAKE YOUR POINT CLEAR - Crop images and add arrows, text, shapes, highlights, callouts, and numbered steps. - Draw with the pen or highlighter, and blur selected areas. - Save your edited screenshot as a PNG. - Extract English text with OCR that runs locally on your device. RECORD YOUR SCREEN AND CAMERA - Choose an entire screen, a window, a browser tab, or your camera. - Turn your camera and microphone on or off, and choose your recording source. - Set up backgrounds, text, and layouts before recording. - Pause, resume, stop, or restart your take. - Preview recordings, revisit saved local takes, and download them without signing in. Your recordings stay on your device unless you choose Share. Share uploads the selected recording to the Record Wow web app for web editing and sharing, and requires a Record Wow account. On Mac, recording an entire screen with the camera enabled requires the separate Record Wow Camera companion, macOS 13 or later, and macOS Screen Recording permission. The companion also provides floating camera and drawing controls across apps. Setup instructions are available in the recorder. OPTIONAL WALKTHROUGH TOOLS Enable mouse-activity capture to help position automatic zoom in Record Wow, or download matching mouse metadata. Advanced tools let you review and run explicit click and scroll plans on the selected page. Connecting a workspace navigation key enables these optional tools. Typed form values are excluded from their metadata; visible screenshot and recording content can still include them. CONTROL YOUR CAPTURE Screenshot editing and English OCR run locally. The extension does not upload screenshots or extracted text. Optional sharing, mouse pairing, and navigation connections exchange the data needed for the features you enable. Full-page screenshots support up to 20,000 CSS pixels or 32 megapixels. Complex scrolling pages may need selected-area capture. Chrome restricts capture on some protected browser pages.
