ImgLoupe: Image Preview & Text Recognition

Preview, zoom, copy and download images in Google Docs, Sheets and Slides, with on-device OCR and one-click ZIP export.

ImgLoupe adds image tools to Google Docs, Sheets and Slides. Select an image in a document and four buttons appear next to it: • Preview – zoom and rotate the image, or drag over part of it to recognize just that area • Copy – put the image on your clipboard • Extract text – recognize English and Traditional Chinese text and copy it • Download – save the image as a file DOWNLOAD ALL IMAGES (ZIP) Open ImgLoupe from the Chrome toolbar and save every image of the document as one ZIP file. If an image can't be downloaded, the ZIP contains a short report saying which one and why. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Text recognition runs on your device with the bundled Tesseract engine (an open source OCR engine which is maintained by Google). No image or text is sent to a remote OCR service. • No developer server, analytics or ads. The interface is available in English and Traditional Chinese, following Chrome's language.
