)Overview
Convert Markdown images to HTML img tags with one click.
Turn GitHub's image markdown into resizable tags with one click. When you drop an image into a GitHub issue, pull request, or comment, GitHub inserts markdown like or an tag at full size. ImgConverter rewrites it into a clean, sized tag so your screenshots don't take over the page. HOW IT WORKS 1. Upload images to an issue, pull request, or comment. 2. Click the ImgConverter icon (or select part of the text first to convert only that part). 3. Done. Every image in the field becomes an tag. Before: After: FEATURES • Works with GitHub's current comment editor. Preview, submit, and Ctrl+Z / Cmd+Z all behave as expected. • Keeps your alt text for better accessibility. • Set a default width and/or height (for example 200px or 50%) on the options page. Without a setting, images are sized to width="50%". • Images you've already resized by hand are left alone. • Supports PNG, JPEG, and GIF. • Also works on other markdown editors such as esa and DocBase. PRIVACY ImgConverter runs only when you click its icon, and only on the current tab. It collects no data and sends nothing anywhere. The only thing it stores is your size setting, in Chrome's sync storage. OPEN SOURCE MIT licensed. Source code, issues, and feedback: https://github.com/funzin/ImgConverter
