Image Harvest

Select image candidates from the current web page and save them locally as image files or a single PDF.

Image Harvest is a Chrome extension that displays image candidates from the webpage you are currently viewing and lets you select and save them locally as individual image files or as a PDF. Image Harvest analyzes the current tab only after an explicit action by the user from the extension toolbar. Image candidates available to Chrome are displayed in the Side Panel. Up to 5,000 candidates can be displayed and filtered by dimensions, format, source, or URL. Click an image thumbnail or checkbox to select or deselect a single image. Shift-click an image or checkbox to select or deselect a continuous range based on the previous normal click and the order currently visible in the Side Panel. Up to 100 images can be selected at a time. Range selection also respects the 100-image selection limit. Range deselection is not restricted by this limit. Selected images can be saved in their original format. Supported common static images can also be converted locally to JPEG or PNG. JPEG quality can be adjusted, and transparent areas are composited onto a white background during JPEG conversion. PNG conversion preserves transparency. Files are saved through Chrome Downloads. You can optionally specify a subfolder or use the Save As prompt. PDFs are generated locally using only the selected images, in their current list order, with one image per page. Each PDF can contain up to 100 images. You can configure page size, orientation, image placement, margins, background, quality, and filename. When more than 100 image candidates are available and a split PDF selection is started through the initial automatic selection or Select all, the first group of up to 100 images is selected. After the current PDF is successfully saved, the next group of up to 100 images is selected automatically. The next PDF is never generated automatically. The user can review the next selection and manually start PDF creation when ready. If you manually select 100 images using checkboxes, image clicks, or Shift-click range selection, the remaining candidates are not automatically added to a split PDF workflow. GIF images can be saved in their original GIF format. For safety reasons, GIF images are not supported for JPEG conversion, PNG conversion, or PDF creation. Image Harvest requires the following Chrome permissions: ・activeTab ・scripting ・downloads ・storage ・sidePanel No required host permission covering websites is requested at installation. When an image must be retrieved from a different HTTPS source, Image Harvest requests optional access only to the specific validated HTTPS origin that is needed. Chrome may retain and reuse access previously granted to an origin. Full image candidate URLs are processed locally during the current browser session only when needed for features such as image retrieval, thumbnail display, saving, retry, split-PDF continuation, or Side Panel restoration. Image URLs, image data, converted images, and generated PDFs are not sent to a developer-operated server. Image Harvest does not use external image conversion or translation services. It also contains no advertising, analytics, behavioral tracking, or telemetry. The interface automatically follows Chrome's UI language. Japanese and English are supported. Unsupported Chrome UI languages fall back to English. Please use Image Harvest only for images that you have the right to save or use.
