Overview
Encodes a tab, window, or screen and uploads it to a live streaming service.
phos captures a browser tab, a window, or your entire screen, and either streams it live to YouTube or saves it as a recording — your choice, one click either way. How it works: Click the phos icon. Choose what to share: the current tab, or use Chrome's own picker to grab a different tab, a window, or your whole screen. Turn on "Include my microphone" if you want your own voice mixed in — captures alone never include it. Choose Recording to save an MP4, or Stream and paste your YouTube HLS key to go live. Start capture, or Go live. Everything — capture, encoding, and upload — happens on your own computer. There is no phos server, proxy, or relay in the middle at any point. Your YouTube stream key stays in your browser's session storage only, never written to disk. phos is free (Apache-2.0), built by Believers Tech Expo. Source, issues, and the full technical writeup are on GitHub: github.com/btetotheworld Requirements: Chrome 116+, desktop only. A YouTube channel enabled for live streaming, if you want to go live.
