Overview

Record Apex domains, FQDNs, and server IP addresses contacted by the current tab.

For IT and firewall professionals: A user needs access to a website, or you need to create a custom firewall policy for a specific web application. You allow the domain shown in the address bar—but the page loads incompletely or fails to work. The problem is that modern websites rarely use just one domain. Authentication services, APIs, content delivery networks, fonts, payment systems, and other resources may all come from different domains. Finding those dependencies through workstation firewall logs can be tedious and imprecise. The logs may combine browser activity with operating-system traffic and connections from unrelated applications and background processes. Apex White focuses on the network requests associated with one selected Chrome browser tab. Start recording, reload the page, and exercise the website's features. Apex White builds a focused list of the hostnames and server IP addresses observed during that recording session, substantially reducing unrelated workstation traffic noise. Results include: - A deduplicated Apex Domain / eTLD+1 summary to help identify the primary domains that may require firewall allow rules. - A detailed list of fully qualified domain names (FQDNs). - Server IP addresses exposed by Chrome for completed requests. - Request counts and protocols. - Results preserved in their original order of occurrence. - Filtering by domain, hostname, or IP address. - Comma-delimited copy and export output for spreadsheets and firewall-policy planning. Instead of guessing which domains a website requires—or searching through a workstation's combined firewall traffic—administrators receive a focused list of observed dependencies from the browser tab being tested. Apex White is a purpose-built visibility tool for IT professionals, network administrators, and firewall administrators. DEMO AND PRO Demo mode provides the complete recording workflow and displays the first four results in each section. An optional Apex White Pro license unlocks all visible, copied, and exported results. PRIVACY BY DESIGN Captured browsing information is processed locally and remains on the user's device. It is not transmitted to the developer, Lemon Squeezy, analytics providers, advertisers, or other third parties. Apex White does not use analytics, telemetry, behavioral tracking, or advertising. Pro licensing is handled separately through Lemon Squeezy. License activation and validation send only the entered license key, a randomly generated installation identifier, and the associated license-instance identifier to Lemon Squeezy for the purpose of verifying Pro access. IMPORTANT LIMITATIONS Apex White reports the traffic observed while you record and exercise the selected browser tab. Results are not a vendor-certified allowlist, and websites can change their dependencies at any time. Administrators should evaluate the observed domains before adding them to firewall policies. Some websites contact optional advertising, analytics, or tracking services that an organization may intentionally choose not to allow. Server IP addresses—particularly addresses used by content delivery networks—may rotate or change. Hostname-based firewall rules are generally more durable than allow rules based solely on a one-time list of IP addresses. Apex White observes Chrome web requests and the server IP addresses Chrome exposes. It is not an operating-system DNS packet capture. Cached resources, service workers, browser-managed traffic, and website features that were not exercised during the recording session may not appear. Some completed requests may not expose a server IP address.
