SubHover
Overview
Hover a word in subtitles to translate it.
Learn languages while you watch. SubHover turns the subtitles of any video into a live dictionary. • Hover a word — see the translation instantly, no pause needed. • Drag across several words — translate a whole phrase or idiom. • Burned-in subtitles — text inside the picture can be hovered and translated too. • Song lyrics — in YouTube music videos the current line is translated as well. • Star a word — it goes into your personal dictionary together with the sentence from the video. • Export the dictionary as a table for Excel or Anki. • Pause on hover, a stack of previous sentences, a dark backing for bright scenes. • Move the subtitle line and resize the letters right on the video. Translation by Google (works out of the box) or DeepL (with your own free key). Interface in English, Russian, German and Ukrainian. Your dictionary and settings stay in your browser. No account, no ads, no tracking. Works in most popular browsers.
