Signal — YouTube attention filter

)Overview
See whether a YouTube video delivers on its promise—and how much is useful—before you click.
Signal helps you decide whether a YouTube video deserves your time before you click. It adds a quiet score to eligible video cards on Home, Search, creator channels and watch-page suggestions, including recommendations shown after a video ends. Signal separates two questions: - Promise Match — How well does the video deliver on the expectation set by its title and thumbnail? - Substance — How much of the runtime contains distinct, useful development? The card shows the lower of the two scores. Open it to see both measures, an explanation and any supported attention patterns. Scores are automated estimates from public video details and available captions, not guarantees about a video or creator. When evidence is insufficient, Signal shows a no-score state instead of guessing. You stay in control. Pause or resume Signal, adjust how prominently scores appear, turn motion on or off, and choose whether to send feedback. The current YouTube page is included with feedback only if you select that option. Sign in with a verified Google account. Start with a free trial of video checks; Signal shows the remaining allowance in the extension. Reopening a checked video does not use another check, and the trial never converts automatically to a paid plan. Available plans show their current prices and allowances. Paid checkout and subscription management use Stripe; Signal does not receive full card details. Any free activation is clearly marked as free and requires no card. Signal retains account-linked request diagnostics for 14 days. After you accept the in-product Terms and data-use agreement, it also records visible Signal-processed cards, displayed results, explanation opens and clicks to measure and fix reliability. It does not measure playback or watch duration. Signing out stops session uploads and clears their pending queue. Read the linked privacy policy for providers, operational IP logs, retention, account export and deletion. Signal does not post to your YouTube account, sell your data or use it for advertising. Signal is not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube.
