Ultra Voice Reader reads selected text, webpages, clipboard content, and accessible documents aloud using voices available through Chrome. READ, LISTEN, AND STAY FOCUSED Choose Read selected, Read this tab, or Read clipboard to start listening. Follow narration with synchronized word highlighting on supported webpages or in a companion reader. Save content to your Reading List, with bookmarks and optional autoplay. Queue starts the selected reading when nothing is currently playing; otherwise, it adds the reading without interrupting the current narration. FEATURES • Read selected text, webpages, and copied text aloud. • Highlight the current word and follow the reading automatically. • Pause, resume, repeat, or skip between sentences from the extension controls. • Save readings and resume from bookmarked positions; pin, remove, or drag Reading List entries to your preferred order. • Set speaking speed, voice, pitch, volume, and automatic scrolling. • Choose dark or light appearance, including in the companion Focus reader. • Choose Auto Focus (highlight the original page when available, or hand off to Focus if another tab remains when it closes) or Always on (use the companion reader). Closing the last tab stops reading safely. • Read accessible text from compatible PDF, DOCX, TXT, and Markdown documents, subject to browser permissions and file accessibility. • Use keyboard shortcuts for selected or clipboard content. Compatible device media buttons may work depending on Chrome and your hardware; support is not guaranteed. PRIVACY AND COMPATIBILITY Reading text, bookmarks, and preferences are stored locally in Chrome extension storage. No Ultra Voice Reader account is required. Some system voices may process speech remotely in accordance with the voice provider's policies. Document support depends on browser and file permissions; scanned or protected documents may not be readable. SPONSORED ADVERTISING Ultra Voice Reader is free to use and supported by sponsored advertising. When first opened, the extension popup requires users to accept its ad-supported service conditions; those who do not agree cannot access the reading features. A single upfront notice explains that advertising providers may process IP address, approximate location, device/browser information, advertisement impressions and clicks, and may share related information with advertising partners. The Privacy Policy identifies advertising providers and their data practices. No advertising requests are made before the agreement is accepted. A sponsored advertisement may appear only when the Home reading preview is empty; if no ad is available, a Fairpeers first-party promotion appears instead. Advertisements do not interrupt narration or appear inside visited websites.
