Overview

Tools to extend the functionality of Madison Public Library's ILS

This WebExtension provides tools to aid South Central Library System (WI) staff while navigating their library services platform. Currently, it offers two features: "PSTAT" lookup and printing patron barcodes. PSTAT Lookup: Enter an address and the extension will query the US Census Geocoder and Madison Public Library's database of alder districts and other address exceptions to try to automatically determine the PSTAT code that should be used in the associated user account. Print Patron Barcode: Generate a slip from a patron's barcode number (14 digit number starting with "2"). If there is text copied to the clipboard, the extension will look for a number in that format, and if it exists it will pre-fill the barcode entry field. The barcode number will be printed along with a scannable barcode image. It is intended to be printed to a receipt printer.
