Intelligent Text is your AI writing assistant for Chrome—available wherever you already read, write, and communicate. Select text on any supported webpage, then use the context menu, a keyboard shortcut, or the extension popup to turn rough writing into clear, polished, useful text in seconds. SEE THE RESULT. STAY IN CONTROL. Every result can open in an isolated preview panel showing the original text, generated result, action used, and provider that completed the request. For correction actions, local word-level highlighting makes changes easy to review. Copy the original or generated text, enable automatic copy, or replace a verified editable selection directly on the page. Before replacement, Intelligent Text copies the original as a temporary recovery backup. After replacement, the same control can undo the change. If a page changes, the selection becomes unsafe, or the content is not editable, replacement is blocked and copy-only behavior keeps your text protected. WORKS WHERE YOU WRITE Intelligent Text is designed for everyday web writing, including rich editors. It preserves line breaks, paragraph structure, indentation, and list formatting during correction workflows. Non-editable and protected content remains copy-only. CHOOSE YOUR AI PROVIDER Use the provider and model that fit your needs. Configure a primary provider plus optional secondary and fallback providers. Intelligent Text can automatically move to the next configured provider when a cloud request is unavailable, rate-limited, or cannot use the selected model. Each provider keeps its own credential and model configuration, and the built-in connection test verifies the selected endpoint and model before you rely on it. The custom provider option supports one custom configuration per browser profile. Its endpoint is validated, and Chrome requests access only to the origin you explicitly enter when you save or test it. PRIVACY-FIRST BY DESIGN There is no developer-operated backend, account system, analytics, telemetry, advertising, or text history. Cloud requests go directly from your browser to the provider you choose. Your API keys stay in Chrome extension storage and are never sent to a server operated by this project. Provider processing, retention, logging, pricing, and data controls are governed by the provider and account you use. When you choose Chrome Built-in AI / Gemini Nano, supported generation runs on your device and does not require a cloud API key. Availability depends on your browser, hardware, and local model state. A provider API key is required for cloud providers; Chrome Built-in AI does not require one when available.
