Automatically set Gemini to High thinking and your preferred model. Discover new models directly from Gemini's model menu.

Open Gemini with your preferred model and High thinking, without selecting them for every new chat. Gemini High Auto uses Gemini's existing model menu to apply your defaults when you open a chat or move to another chat. By default, it keeps your current model and only changes the thinking level to High. CHOOSE YOUR DEFAULT MODEL Open the extension's settings, choose a model from the discovered list, and save. Reload Gemini to apply your choice. You can also keep the current model instead of choosing a default. READY FOR NEW MODELS The model list comes from Gemini's own menu, rather than a fixed list of model versions. When Gemini adds a model, open its model menu, then click Refresh list in the extension's settings. You can also enter the exact model name. The extension matches a saved model ID first and falls back to the displayed name if the ID changes. STAYS OUT OF YOUR CONVERSATION The extension does not read, edit, or send your prompts or Gemini's responses. After it applies High, you can change the thinking level manually for that page. If you type or click during an automatic switch, the extension stops that attempt. LOCAL SETTINGS Your preferred model, discovered model names and IDs, and the discovery timestamp are stored in this browser using Chrome's local extension storage. The extension has no developer server, analytics, advertising, or remote code. It does not make its own network requests. Clicking Gemini's menus may cause Gemini to save those preferences through its normal service. GET STARTED 1. Install the extension and reload any open Gemini tabs. 2. Open Gemini's model menu once to discover available models. 3. Open the extension icon, click Refresh list, choose your default model, and save. 4. Reload Gemini. Your selected model and High thinking will be applied where available. GOOD TO KNOW • Works on Gemini chat pages at gemini.google.com/app, including navigation between chats. • English and Japanese Gemini model menus are supported. Some Japanese interfaces display High as 高値. • Available models, thinking levels, subscriptions, and usage limits are controlled by Google. This extension does not unlock unavailable models or bypass limits. • If the selected model is missing or disabled, switching stops. If High is unavailable, the extension does not substitute a different thinking level. • Automatic switching waits up to 30 seconds for the page to become ready. Reload the page to try again after an interrupted attempt. • The model list is the latest list discovered in this browser; accounts may have different available models. • Settings changes take effect after reloading Gemini.
