Tab Shelf
Overview
Close the tabs you keep for later. Tab Shelf saves them, summarizes each page with local or free AI, and groups them by topic.
Too many tabs open "for later"? They eat memory and you never get back to them. Tab Shelf closes them for you and keeps everything: - Stash this tab, this window or every window in one click (Alt+Shift+S) - Each page is saved with a text snapshot, so it's there even if the site changes - A short AI summary of every page, plus a guess at why you kept it - Build a digest: your whole shelf grouped by topic, with a brief on what to read first - Search titles, summaries and the full text of every saved page - See how much memory you freed - Optional auto-stash for tabs you haven't looked at in days - Light, dark or system theme Private by design Everything is stored in your browser. No account, no server, no tracking. Use a free local model (Ollama or Chrome's built-in on-device AI) and nothing ever leaves your computer. Prefer the cloud? Connect OpenRouter's free models or any OpenAI-compatible server. Mark sites as private and they're never sent to a cloud model. Open source under the MIT license.
