The exact limit is not public and varies depending on your IP address. How Exporter for IG handles this: - When you export a large number of followers, you may hit a rate-limit error. - The igexport app enters "Cooldown" mode and shows the remaining cooldown time. - If the error persists, the cooldown period automatically doubles. - After the cooldown ends, if the next request succeeds, the app returns to Normal mode. ## Use Cases - **Implement a follow/unfollow strategy:** Use the Instagram follower export tool to identify users who don't follow you back and unfollow them, helping you optimize your follower-to-following ratio. - **Analyze your Instagram audience:** Use the Instagram follower export tool to extract follower data, understand audience characteristics, and refine engagement strategies. - **Competitive research:** Use IGExporter to export competitors' following lists, spot trends, and find growth opportunities. - **Find influencers:** Use IG Export to collect data on potential influencers and assess whether their accounts are a good fit for collaboration. - **Generate leads:** Use IGExport to export follower data for lead generation and targeted marketing. - **Back up Instagram data:** Use the Instagram follower export tool to back up follower and following lists and protect your social network data. - **Improve e-commerce strategy:** Use the Instagram follower export tool to identify your target audience and improve sales conversion. ## Limitations - **Account usage:** We recommend not using your primary Instagram account for IGExport or IG Exporter data exports. Frequent data extraction may be flagged as unusual activity and can lead to temporary restrictions or account bans. - **Rate limits:** Instagram strictly limits the number of requests within a given period. Exceeding those limits while using IGExporter or the Instagram follower export tool may result in errors or temporary restrictions. - **Automation risks:** While IG Export simplifies data collection, Instagram discourages automated activity. Excessive use of an Instagram following export tool may violate platform policies. - **Data integrity:** Exports depend on the availability of public information. Private or restricted accounts may not provide complete data. - **Incomplete exports:** For accounts with a large number of followers, IGExport may occasionally fail to export complete data. Results can vary slightly across multiple runs due to Instagram's limitations and constantly changing follower lists.
