Image Blur
Overview
Blur or hide images on web pages to protect privacy or reduce distractions.
Image Blur softens or hides photos, videos, and background images on the sites you visit—without leaving the page. Use it when thumbnails or ads feel too loud, when you want less visual clutter while reading, or when you’d rather not have sensitive images in plain view on shared screens. Choose blur or fade, dial in strength and opacity, and turn on reveal on hover to peek at anything under the effect. Screen overlay mode can dim or blur the whole page at once, with an optional cursor spotlight. Control everything from the toolbar popup or with keyboard shortcuts. Your settings sync across Chrome when you’re signed in, so the same comfort follows you from tab to tab. Why install: one-click privacy and calm on any website—no account, no complicated setup.
