Hours by Color for Google Calendar
Overview
Total hours per event color in Google Calendar. See billable time per client at a glance. Runs entirely in your browser.
Color-code your Google Calendar by client? Hours by Color adds up the hours for each color in the week you're looking at, right inside Calendar. No sign-in, no export, nothing leaves your browser. How it works • Open Google Calendar in Week or Day view. • A small panel shows the total hours per event color, each color's share, and a bar of how your time splits. • Click Name colors to name each color after a client, so the panel reads "Acme Corp 12 h" instead of "Tomato 12 h". • Go to another week and the totals update by themselves. Built for freelancers and consultants who bill by the hour and already color their events per client. What it counts • Timed events in the current view. Overlapping events each count in full. • Events that cross midnight are counted once. • All-day events, events you declined and tasks are left out, and the panel says what it skipped, e.g. "14 events · skipped 2 all-day, 1 declined". • Month view hides end times, so the panel offers a one-click switch to Week view. • If Google changes Calendar and the times can't be read, the totals pause instead of showing wrong numbers. Private by design. Everything runs in your browser. The extension reads only the Calendar page you have open and sends nothing anywhere. No account, no tracking, no ads. It saves only the client names you type and the panel's own settings. Works in light and dark mode, with 12- or 24-hour time and custom event colors. It reads the times, not the words, so it isn't tied to one Calendar language. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Google. Google Calendar is a trademark of Google LLC.
