Overview

Pick topic packs or make your own; YouTube's home page and recommendations show only those. Search stays normal.

YouTube Focus turns YouTube into a feed of only the videos you asked for. Pick topic packs — motivation & self-improvement, study skills, science, history, fitness, mental health, cooking, programming, AI, money & career, art & music, DIY, languages, philosophy, Islam, kids learning, Bangla, Hindi — and the home page and the recommendations next to every video show only what matches. Everything else is gone. Make your own pack in ten seconds: a name, the words that appear in the titles you want, the channels you trust, Add. It sits next to the built-in packs and can be edited, deleted or shared. A list of blocked words always hides a video whatever else matches (reaction videos, pranks, gossip, trailers and gaming are blocked out of the box). What it does • Filters the home page, the recommendations next to a video and the grid at the end of it • Removes Shorts shelves and the Shorts button, and opens Shorts links as normal videos • Hides the topic chips under the search bar that aren't about your topics • Optional: filter the Subscriptions feed, hide comments • Pause for 10 minutes, 30 minutes or an hour from the toolbar popup — it switches itself back on • A number on the icon shows how many items are hidden on the current page What it never does • It never filters search results: search for anything and you find it • It never changes the video you are watching, your history, playlists or channel pages • It collects nothing. One permission (storage, for your settings), no network requests, no accounts Matching is by words in the title and channel name, with simple rules you can read on the settings page. Everything is editable, and you can export your settings to share them.
