DATA USE DISCLOSURE This extension makes no network requests of any kind. Not anonymous statistics, not error reporting, not an update ping. None. • It contains no fetch, no XMLHttpRequest, no WebSocket, no sendBeacon, and loads no remote script or stylesheet. A build check rejects the code if any of those ever appear. • There is no server behind it. No account, no sign-in, no licence key, nothing to opt out of, because nothing is collected. • Your conversations are read in your browser, converted in your browser, and saved by your browser. Nothing is transmitted anywhere. • You can verify this yourself: open Chrome's Network tab and export a chat. It stays empty. WHAT IT DOES • Exports the conversation you are looking at, in one click from the toolbar. • Five formats: Markdown, HTML, plain text, JSON, and PDF. • Batch export: capture several conversations, then save them as separate files or as one ZIP. • A preview pane so you can see the output before you commit to it. WHAT IT KEEPS INTACT The point of an export is that it still reads correctly afterwards, so the conversion is structural rather than a copy of the visible text: • Code blocks keep their language tag, and a fence is chosen longer than any backticks inside the code — so a chat about Markdown survives. • Tables keep their columns, with pipes inside cells escaped properly. • Nested lists keep their nesting. Ordered lists keep their numbering. • Blockquotes, headings, horizontal rules, bold, italic, strikethrough, links and inline code all survive. • Mathematics is taken from the page's original TeX source where the site provides it, not from the rendered glyphs. • Reasoning and "extended thinking" panes are kept separate from the answer, rather than silently merged into it. • Right-to-left languages, CJK, Thai and Devanagari come through correctly. ABOUT PDF PDF is produced by Chrome's own print engine, from a print-formatted page this extension renders. That is a deliberate choice: a bundled PDF library would need bundled fonts, and covering Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Hebrew, Thai and Devanagari would mean megabytes of font data and still getting some scripts wrong. Chrome already has every font you have. The cost is one extra click in the print dialog. PERMISSIONS, AND WHY EACH ONE • Access to chatgpt.com, chat.openai.com, claude.ai and gemini.google.com — to read the conversation you ask it to export. It cannot see any other site. There is no all-sites permission and no optional permission. • storage — to hold captured conversations for the current browser session, and to remember which format you picked. • scripting — this is what lets the extension stay inert. It declares no automatic content scripts, so it is not loaded into those sites on a normal visit; it injects its reader only when you click. HONEST LIMITS • These three sites load only part of a long conversation into the page at a time. If you export a long chat without scrolling to the top first, the export tells you how many messages are missing rather than quietly handing you a short file. • Claude renders artifacts rather than putting their text in the page, so artifacts are listed by title and their contents are not included. • Attachment contents are not available to any extension; attachments are listed by filename. • The sites change their layout regularly.
