Overview
Radiology MIPS assistant for Synthesis PACS - appends documentation to satisfy CMS MIPS quality measures using Gemini or OpenAI.
HRPA MIPS Helper is a side-panel tool for radiologists who dictate reports in the Synthesis PACS (synthos.health). It helps a report satisfy CMS MIPS quality measures by drafting the required documentation language for the radiologist to review and approve. How it works: 1. Open the report you are dictating in Synthesis. 2. Open the HRPA MIPS Helper side panel and choose a MIPS measure. 3. Click Generate. The tool reads the current report text and asks an AI model whether the measure applies and, if so, what documentation language is needed. 4. Review the proposed text in the side panel. 5. Click "Append to report" to add it to the bottom of the report, or Discard. The radiologist remains fully responsible for the report. The tool does not interpret images, does not alter existing report content, and only appends text after the radiologist explicitly approves it. If a measure does not apply, the tool says so and appends nothing. Supported measures include incidental pulmonary nodule follow-up (Fleischner 2017), incidental thyroid nodule follow-up, emphysema / low-dose CT screening, breast arterial calcification reporting, and screening abdominal aortic aneurysm reporting. This is an internal tool for credentialed radiologists. Access is password protected.
