)Overview
Near-real-time dubbing for the active Chrome tab
idublive brings near-real-time AI dubbing to the audio playing in your active Chrome tab. Choose an output language, start dubbing from the extension popup, and hear translated speech while the original tab continues playing. What idublive does • Captures audio only from the active tab after you start a dubbing session. • Sends the captured audio directly to Google Gemini using the API key you provide. • Plays the generated dubbing locally in Chrome. • Lets you mix the original speaker audio and control its volume. • Supports a separately stored fallback API key when the primary key cannot connect. • Keeps local usage statistics for dubbing time, sessions, languages, and optionally the site domain. Privacy-first by design idublive does not operate a developer server and does not send your audio, API keys, or local usage statistics to the developer. Audio is sent directly to Google Gemini only to provide the dubbing feature you explicitly start. Your API keys and local statistics remain in Chrome storage on your device.
