SlashKit is your library of AI prompts. Type / in an AI chat box to search and insert a saved prompt, with no more copying and pasting from notes. ■ Insert with / • Type / and a keyword (e.g. /news). Matches are ranked by shortcode, title and category; press Enter or Tab to insert. • Type /category:keyword to search one category. • Works with input methods (IME): pressing Enter to pick a character never inserts a prompt by accident. • Press the shortcut (Alt+Shift+K by default) or use the right-click menu to search without typing /. • A preview pane shows the full prompt as you browse. ■ Template variables • Write {{ticker}} or {{period:last quarter}} in a prompt and fill them in a small form when inserting. • {{today}}, {{today-7}}, {{weekday}} and {{time}} fill in the date and time, with custom formats. • {{selection}} inserts the text selected on the page, {{clipboard}} the clipboard. • {{> /format}} includes another prompt, so shared parts live in one place. ■ Manage large libraries • Dashboard with category filters, bulk category changes, find & replace, Markdown preview and full-screen editing. • The last 10 versions of every prompt, with a diff view and one-click restore. • Deleted prompts stay in Recently deleted for 30 days. • Import and export JSON, CSV (opens in Excel) and Markdown, with a per-item comparison on import. • Usage stats: most used prompts, prompts unused for 90 days, weekly trend. • Select text on any page and right-click to save it as a prompt. ■ Sync across devices • Chrome Sync: no setup; data is compressed, and when it does not all fit, pinned and recently edited prompts sync first. • Google Drive: stored in a hidden app folder in your own Drive, no size limit, with optional daily backups. • Edits made on two devices are merged automatically; overwritten versions are kept in version history. ■ Supported sites Gemini and NotebookLM work out of the box. Turn on ChatGPT, Claude, Grok or Google AI Studio with one click, or add any custom domain. New users] - A fresh install comes with 4 example prompts and a short guide. 🎉 What's New in v1.5.0 — more room in Chrome Sync: [1. Compressed Sync] - Prompts are compressed before syncing. Chinese text shrinks by roughly 40–60%, so far more prompts fit into Chrome Sync's 100 KB. [2. Partial Sync] - When your prompts exceed the Chrome Sync quota, pinned and recently edited prompts are synced first instead of nothing syncing at all. - Prompts that don't fit are marked "Local only" and stay safely on this device. Pin one to sync it first. - The sync label shows compressed usage (e.g. 62.3 / 100.0 KB). [3. Compatibility] - Older sync data is upgraded automatically, and changes from devices not yet updated are merged in. [4. Fixes] - The slash menu now appears when typing / on the second line or later of the Gemini input (including after Shift+Enter). - Enter is no longer intercepted when only the body text matches. Typing /usr and pressing Enter sends the message; use ↑↓ first to pick such a prompt. - Fixed edits creating duplicates of prompts with duplicate or missing IDs in older data. - Expired deletion records are now cleaned up instead of slowly filling the sync quota. - Saving from the popup and the dashboard at the same time no longer overwrites either change. - The dashboard saves immediately when a field loses focus or the tab is hidden. 🎉 What's New in v1.4.0 — reliability release: [1. Rewritten Cross-Device Sync] - Fixed edits and deletions occasionally being reverted by older data. - Fixed long or non-English prompts failing to sync, which could wipe the synced copy. - Edits made on several devices are now merged automatically, and deletions (including deleting everything) sync correctly. - Turning sync off and back on now merges both sides instead of overwriting newer local changes. - If your data exceeds the Chrome Sync quota, the extension tells you and keeps everything saved on this device. [2. Input Method & Editor Compatibility] - Pressing Enter while choosing characters in an IME (Chinese, Japanese, etc.) no longer inserts a prompt by mistake. - Multi-line prompts keep their paragraphs and line breaks in the Gemini input. - Moving the caret with arrow keys or the mouse updates or closes the menu, so prompts are never inserted in the wrong place. - The menu follows page scrolling and matches light / dark themes. New Features] - The side panel has a new "Insert" button that places a prompt straight into the current page's input. - Smarter search ranking: shortcode and title matches come before body text. - The sync label now shows the last sync time and any errors.
