idea Smart Capture turns a browser workflow into an editable guide. Start a Smart Capture from your idea workspace, choose the browser tab you want to demonstrate, and review the recording disclosure before recording begins. As you work, the extension captures the selected tab, meaningful clicks, page context, and step screenshots. When you stop and save, idea turns the session into a project you can review, edit, narrate, export, and share. Use idea Smart Capture to create: - product walkthroughs - team operating procedures - customer support guides - onboarding and training material - repeatable browser-based instructions Recording stays under your control: - Nothing is recorded until you select Start recording. - The popup shows which tab will be captured. - Tab audio is optional and can be turned off before recording. - The extension does not directly read values entered into form fields. - Visible information can still appear in screenshots, video, or audio, so avoid displaying passwords or unrelated private information. - Choose Stop and save at any time, or use Alt+Shift+S. An idea account is required. The website and extension use a short-lived connection tied to the current Chrome extension.
