GlideClip Recording Helper makes GlideClip's training videos and step-by-step guides exact when you record a web app in Chrome. GlideClip (glideclip.com) turns a screen recording into a training video and a written guide. Normally it works everything out from the picture: what was clicked, what was typed, when a page loaded. With this helper turned on, it knows instead. What it notes, only while GlideClip is recording, and only on the tab you turned it on for: - Each click, and the real name of what was clicked (the "Submit for approval" button, the "Pricing" tab) - Which field you typed in (never what you typed; password fields are never read) - When pages load - Scrolling and the mouse position What GlideClip does with it: - Step callouts and highlights land on the right button, by its real name - Silent pauses while a page loads are trimmed as waits, not cut as dead air - Codify's written steps say "Click Submit for approval" and "Type in Discount", exactly How to use it: 1. Open the web app you'll show and click the helper's icon on that tab. It shows ON. 2. In GlideClip, click Create Clip, share that tab and record as usual. 3. When you stop, GlideClip tells you what the helper noted. Private by design: - No video, no sound, no keystrokes. - It can only see a tab after you click its icon there, and it forgets it when that tab goes to another site. - Its notes go straight to GlideClip in the same browser and stay on your computer.
