Identify Songs HOOK
Overview
Identify the song you hear in your browser.
Tap once. HOOK names the song playing in this tab: the title, the artist, and the exact second in that video. It works on YouTube mixes, radio, ads, and livestreams. Tap with the toolbar button, Alt+Shift+H, or right-click › Identify the song in this tab. After it is saved you can: • Jump back to that second • Read synced lyrics as the song plays (published lyrics, never generated) • Keep listening from your library. If the page is still open, playback continues there. If you closed it, HOOK reopens that YouTube video and plays the song through from that second • See the music tabs you still have open. A page that already shows the title is listed without using a tap. Press one and that YouTube tab plays, while other YouTube tabs pause • Use previous, play, and next on the card at the bottom-right of the page. Drag it anywhere • Open the song on Spotify, Apple Music, or Deezer • Copy the title, or send a card with a link. Friends can open it without installing HOOK • Delete songs from your library, one at a time or several at once, with Undo SIDE PANEL Pin HOOK to Chrome's side panel and it stays open while you click or drag in the video. The player, rhythm bars, and synced lyrics sit at the bottom of the panel. Close it with X. AUTO (HOOK Pro) Auto saves every new song in a mix with its timestamp. With several music tabs open, Auto follows the one that is playing (Chrome may ask for one click on the HOOK icon first). When the video is paused, Auto pauses too: no recording, no uploads, and no trial time used. If the page already shows the title, such as YouTube Music, a tap only saves the song. It does not run another identification. Free: 10 taps a day. Auto can be tried for 15 minutes in total, then it stops. HOOK Pro saves each new song automatically and raises the limit to 100 taps a day: US$9.99/month or US$79/year (taxes may apply). Payment is handled by Creem. A license key is emailed to you; paste it in Settings. No account needed. PRIVACY HOOK listens only after you tap or turn on Auto. It records about 8 seconds of tab audio and uploads it securely to identify the song. The clip is not stored. After a match, only the title and artist are used to fetch lyrics, artwork, and listen links. Your library and license key stay in Chrome on this computer. No ads, no sale of data, no remote code. Full details, including the services we use: https://hookidentify.com/privacy HOOK does not use your microphone and cannot capture DRM-protected audio (Netflix, Spotify Web player); on those pages it can only read the title the page shows.
