Should I Buy It? shows whether a food fits your nutrition goals while you shop on walmart.com. Open a food product page and a small card shows a verdict (Get it, In moderation or Limit it), one line on why, bars for saturated fat, sodium and added sugar against your daily limits, the reasons that decided it, and a better option to try instead. Where the numbers come from: • The product page's own Nutrition Facts, when it has them • For fresh produce, typical values for that food • Otherwise the product's barcode, looked up in Open Food Facts and USDA FoodData Central Features: • Uses your own goals: calories, protein, saturated fat, sodium, added sugar and fiber, plus foods or additives you skip and a mild-food preference • Flags additives that regulators have removed from food • Add to list, then send items to the grocery list in the free Should I Buy It? web app • Optional verdict badges on search results (off by default) Private by design: • No account, no tracking, no analytics, no ads • Your goals and lists stay in your browser • Only a product's barcode is sent, without cookies, to the public nutrition databases, and only when a page has no Nutrition Facts Free and open source: https://github.com/QuocHHDo/should-i-buy-it Web app: https://quochhdo.github.io/should-i-buy-it Not affiliated with or endorsed by Walmart.
