Overview
Send Long/Short positions from TradingView straight into your IB Lab trading journal, prefilled and ready to review.
IB Lab. Journal for TradingView turns the Long/Short Position drawings on your chart into a one-click import into your [IB Lab](https://app.iblab.io) trading journal. Draw a Long Position or Short Position on a TradingView chart, click the extension, and hit **Add to Journal** on the trade you want to log — it opens your Journal's create-trade form, already filled in. Nothing is saved automatically: you still review and submit it yourself. What it fills in for you: • Instrument and direction (long/short) • Entry, take profit and stop loss prices • Entry and exit date + time, replayed over the chart's own candles — not just the drawing's edges • Result (win / loss / breakeven) • MFE and MAE in R — how far the trade ran in your favor and against you before it closed Tab-smart: clicking Add to Journal reuses an already-open Journal tab instead of piling up duplicates, and focuses that window for you. Privacy: extraction runs entirely in your browser. The only thing that ever leaves your device is the trade data in the URL when you click Add to Journal — no analytics, no tracking, and nothing else is collected or stored.
