Hushfern creates a calmer layer for the web by identifying and softening potentially toxic visible text as you browse. Everything happens on your device. Hushfern analyzes eligible webpage text locally using its packaged model. Page text is not uploaded to Hushfern or sent to a remote moderation service. YOU STAY IN CONTROL Hushfern remains inactive until you review its disclosure and choose Enable protection. You can turn protection off later; Hushfern stops new analysis and restores content it currently has blurred. TUNE THE EXPERIENCE • Set the toxicity threshold from 60% to 90%, with a 75% default. • Adjust blur intensity from 3px to 10px. • Choose whether hidden text stays blurred on hover. • See live analyzed and hidden-content counts for the current page. PRIVATE PROTECTION HISTORY View hourly and daily activity, recent trends, and per-site aggregate totals in Hushfern’s dedicated analytics page. This history stays in the current Chrome profile and daily records are retained for up to 90 days. BUILT FOR THE OPEN WEB Hushfern works on ordinary HTTP and HTTPS webpages. Chrome-owned pages, the Chrome Web Store, and other protected browser pages cannot be moderated. Hushfern is intended to reduce visual exposure to potentially toxic text. Automated classification can make mistakes and is not a substitute for parental controls, professional moderation, or safety advice.
