Hush Tabs – Sleep Inactive Tabs - Auto Tab Discard
Overview
Focus on one tab and the rest quietly fall asleep to save memory and CPU. Choose a delay, exclude sites, or go manual.
Hush Tabs puts the tabs you're not looking at to sleep, so Chrome stays fast and light. Open a tab and focus. After a delay you choose, your other tabs quietly fall asleep and free up memory. Click one and it wakes up right where you left it. HOW IT WORKS - Switch to a tab: the others start a countdown, shown live in the popup. - When the countdown ends, they fall asleep and get a 💤 in their title, so you can spot them at a glance. - Come back before the end and the tab simply stays awake. IN YOUR CONTROL - Choose a delay from instant to 1 hour, or switch to Manual mode and pick what sleeps yourself. - Sleep a single tab, a whole window, or everything else with one click. - Wake one tab or all of them just as fast. - Keyboard shortcuts: Alt+Shift+H to turn on or off, Alt+Shift+J to sleep the other tabs. PROTECTS WHAT MATTERS - Exclude whole sites or specific pages from ever sleeping. - Tabs that play audio, pinned tabs, tabs in a video call and pages with text you haven't sent yet stay awake. SIMPLE AND PRIVATE - A clean popup that lists your tabs and what each one is waiting for. - No account, no ads, no tracking. Your settings stay on your device. - Hush Tabs never reads the content of your pages.
