Overview

See how a Colab notebook was really written. Humanomics scores its revision history for bulk-pasted, AI-like code in seconds.

Was this notebook typed, or pasted? A finished Colab notebook looks the same whether it was written line by line over a week or pasted in a minute. Its revision history doesn't. Humanomics reads that history and shows you, in seconds, how the notebook really grew. HOW IT WORKS 1. Open a Colab notebook saved in Google Drive. 2. Click the Humanomics icon. That's it. Humanomics reads the revision history for you. WHAT YOU GET • A 0–100 AI-like score. One number for how much of the history looks like bulk pasting rather than writing. • Five metrics tied to real typing speed: Faster than typing, Biggest fast block, Few big saves, Rewriting and Code per hour. Each shows its value, what's typical for hand-written work, and where it gets flagged. • Code only, outputs excluded. Colab stores plots and printed output inside the notebook, so one chart can add hundreds of KB. Humanomics measures only the code and text in your cells, so outputs never look like a paste. • Evidence, not just a number. Click any metric and the exact saves behind it light up in the growth chart and the revision table. • CSV and JSON export of the full history and every metric. • One-click copy of author and score, ready to paste into a grading sheet. • Light and dark mode. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account, sign-in or API key. • Your notebook's code never leaves your browser. Humanomics reads each revision through your existing Colab session and keeps only its size. • Anonymized statistics help tune the metrics: for each save, the seconds since the first save, the code size in bytes, and a numbered author (1, 2, 3…). Never names, emails, file IDs, dates or code. Humanomics asks for your consent once, on first use, and doesn't run without it. READ THE SCORE RESPONSIBLY A high score means the history looks like bulk pasting. It does not prove AI wrote the code. Pasting your own code from another project, uploading a notebook, or using Colab's built-in Gemini leave the same pattern. Treat a high score as a reason to ask the author to walk you through their work, not as a verdict. Humanomics is an independent project and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Google.
