Humanize Autotyper: Auto Typer for Google Docs & Any Site
Overview
Turn your own notes, drafts, and study material into natural on-screen typing, without manually retyping everything.
Auto typer for Google Docs and every other text box in Chrome. Paste in text you already have and Humanize Autotyper types it into the document in front of you, one keystroke at a time, at a speed that drifts the way a person's does. It sends real keystrokes instead of pasting, so it works in editors that reject pasted or script-generated input, Google Docs included. HOW TO USE IT 1. Open your document. A Google Doc, a text box, an online form, anywhere you can put a cursor and type. 2. Click the icon and paste your text in. 3. Set a words-per-minute range, or give it a number of minutes instead. 4. Press Start, then click into the document while the countdown runs. Close the popup if you like. Typing keeps going in the background and your text is still there when you open it again. WHAT MAKES THE TYPING LOOK HUMAN • Speed is a WPM range you set, and the real rate wanders inside it, so it never sits on a constant tick • Pauses between words, after punctuation, at each new paragraph, and longer thinking pauses, each with its own control • Typos that get caught and backspaced out, sometimes instantly and sometimes 5 characters later • Whole words typed wrong, deleted, then typed again • Finished sentences gone back over and reworked, the way a real edit pass goes • Word-choice hesitation: once the draft is down it works back through the adjectives and verbs, tries a synonym, and settles • Time limit: give it 20 minutes and the whole document lands in 20 minutes • Every setting can be changed while it is running However messy the middle looks, the finished text is character for character what you pasted in. Every mistake keystroke is tracked and removed. WHO USES IT Notes that would otherwise be retyped by hand. A draft going into a form that blocks pasting. Transcription from a source already written down. Anyone whose hands hurt, from RSI to a broken wrist, with a long document still to enter. Screen recordings that need typing to look live. Typing practice at a set pace. SHORTCUTS Ctrl+Shift+U pauses and resumes, Ctrl+Shift+Y stops, Command instead of Ctrl on a Mac. Both work with the popup closed. Rebind at chrome://extensions/shortcuts PRICE Free: 600 words every 15 days, every feature switched on, no card asked for. Unlimited: $6.99 a month or $59.99 a year, cancel whenever. Checkout runs on Stripe's own page, so the extension never sees your card. PRIVACY The text you paste in never leaves your computer. No analytics in the extension and no account to create. The one thing that reaches our server is a random install ID, used to check whether a subscription is active. Full policy: https://humanize-autotyper.web.app/privacy ABOUT THE DEBUGGER BANNER Google Docs ignores keystrokes that scripts fake. Sending real ones takes Chrome's debugger API, which is why Chrome shows a "started debugging this browser" banner while typing is in progress. It disappears when typing finishes or you press Stop. Only keystrokes go through that connection, and the extension never reads what is on the page. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO It types out text you supply. It does not write or alter your text, and it makes no claim about any detection or academic integrity system. Document revision history records the edits it makes exactly as it records the ones you type yourself.
