HSK.cards — Chinese word lookup

Select Chinese on any page for pinyin, meaning and HSK level, offline. Save words and practise them in HSK.cards.

Read Chinese anywhere. Learn it in HSK.cards. Select a word or a whole sentence on any page, right-click and choose "Look up in HSK.cards" (or press Alt+Shift+L). A side panel opens beside the page with every word in it: pinyin, meaning, HSK level, simplified and traditional characters, and a recording. WHAT YOU GET • All of HSK 1–9 built in: 10,967 words from the HSK.cards course. Lookups work offline and instantly. • Every reading of a word: 长 cháng "long" and 长 zhǎng "to grow" show separately, each with its own meaning and level. • Sentences split into words, so you see each word you don't know, not one long line. • Search by characters (simplified or traditional), pinyin with or without tones (nǐhǎo, ni3hao3, nihao), or a meaning in English or Russian. • "Find HSK words on this page": every HSK word of the article you're reading, sorted by level, with how often it appears. Tick the ones you want and save them together. • Save words with one click and download your list as a spreadsheet (both scripts, pinyin, meanings, level and the site you found it on). WITH YOUR HSK.CARDS ACCOUNT Sign in, and saved words go to your favourites in the HSK.cards app on the web, iPhone and Android, ready to practise. The panel also shows where each word stands for you: learning, remembered, or due for review. Saving a word never changes your answers or progress. PRIVATE BY DESIGN The dictionary lives in your browser: what you select and the pages you read are never sent anywhere. The extension reads a page only when you ask it to, and asks for no access to your sites.
