Overview
Live RVU productivity tracker for radiologists — KPIs, modality breakdown, and shift status in a Chrome side panel.
HPRA RVU Tracker puts your live RVU productivity in a Chrome side panel, right next to your worklist. The panel identifies the signed-in radiologist from the PACS user widget, then requests that person's numbers from your organization's RadDashboard server. No separate login, no extra tab to babysit. WHAT YOU GET • KPI cards — Total RVU, Exams Read, Avg RVU/Exam, and Last Read, with last period's total alongside for comparison. • Pace — RVU and exams per hour through your current shift, how far through it you are, and a projected total at your current rate; per calendar day over longer timeframes. • By-modality share of your RVUs, plus a note when the modality you read most isn't the one carrying the most work. • By-modality breakdown with proportional bars, so you can see where the volume actually came from. • Timeframe switch — Shift, Day, Week, Month, Quarter, or Year. • Look back at any past period. Step through them one at a time, or pick a date from a picker that matches the timeframe you're in — a calendar for a day or a shift, a week or month picker, a quarter or year grid. One button returns you to the present, and auto-refresh pauses while you're in the past. • Today's shift — task name, scheduled hours, and a live Active / Inactive badge, visible in every timeframe. Pick "Shift" to scope the KPIs to that shift's window. • Pull the day's schedule from QGenda on demand if it hasn't synced yet. • Auto-refresh at 30s, 60s, 2m, or 5m — or turn it off and refresh manually. • Light and dark themes, defaulting to your system setting. • Clear, non-alarming states for every failure mode: not configured, name not matched, invalid API key, API disabled on the server, or server unreachable. BUILT FOR THE READING ROOM The icon font is bundled with the extension rather than loaded from a CDN, so the panel renders correctly on locked-down hospital networks. All settings stay in local Chrome storage. The API key is held by the extension's service worker and is never exposed to any web page. REQUIREMENTS This extension is designed for High Plains Radiology Associates and requires access to a RadDashboard server with the RVU Read API enabled, plus an API key issued from that server (Settings → RVU read API → Generate API key). It is not useful without one. SETUP 1. Pin the extension and click its icon to open the side panel. 2. Open the gear icon and enter your RadDashboard server URL and API key. 3. Use "Test connection" to confirm the server is reachable, then Save. 4. Approve the permission prompt for your server's origin when Chrome asks. Your name is detected automatically from PACS. The manual name override is passphrase-protected because it changes whose numbers the panel displays.
