You either let it wash over you or you stop the video and go looking for a calculator. BUILT FOR READING IN PASSING Conversions are rounded to 2 significant digits, because a caption is there to be glanced at, not studied. 4 Feet becomes 1.2 Meters. 420 Feet becomes 130 Meters. Where the spoken figure was itself loose - "about six foot two", "somewhere between forty and fifty miles" - the conversion carries a ~ so you can see the precision it deserves.
