HoundSignal Capture

Send the post you are looking at, or scan the posts on your screen, to HoundSignal in HoundBell. Nothing runs on its own.

HoundSignal Capture is a two-button helper for HoundBell customers who use HoundSignal. You are reading a local group or a community page. You see someone asking for the kind of work you do. Press the HoundSignal Capture button in your toolbar, then press Send this post to HoundSignal. That one post goes to your Signals page in HoundBell, where it gets a score, a plain reason, and a reply you can copy. What it does: - Sends the post you are looking at, when you press the button. If you select the post text first, it sends what you selected. - Scan this page (version 1.1): when you are in a group or feed you belong to, one press reads the posts already on your screen, up to 30, and scores them. Only the ones that read like someone asking for your kind of work are kept; the popup lists them with a link to each card. Nothing is loaded, scrolled or fetched; it reads what you can already see, once, when you press. - Shows you the score right in the popup, with a link to open the card in HoundBell. - Stores the post text, the post link, and the display name as shown. Nothing else. What it does not do: - It never opens pages on its own. - It never reads your feed or your groups on its own. Scan this page reads the screen you are looking at only when you press it, and only that once. - It never scrolls, clicks, or posts for you. - It never replies to anyone. - It never runs in the background or on a timer. - It does not collect anything from pages you do not press the button on. You need a HoundBell account with the HoundSignal add-on turned on. Connect the button once with a one-time code from app.houndbell.com/connect/capture. You can disconnect it any time from the popup or from Settings in HoundBell. HoundBell is a CRM for local service businesses. HoundSignal is its add-on that scores posts from people nearby who need a plumber, a cleaner, a landscaper, or whatever you do.
