Overview

Expose your current Chrome tab to the YetiBrowser MCP server.

YetiBrowser MCP is the open, hackable companion to the Model Context Protocol (MCP) ecosystem. Pair the Chrome extension with the YetiBrowser MCP server to let MCP clients—like VS Code (Codex/Claude Code), Cursor, Windsurf, or any inspector—automate a live browser tab while keeping everything local. WHAT IT DOES: - Live DOM snapshots & diffs – capture accessibility-friendly snapshots and highlight what changed between steps. - Console & error capture – stream console.*, uncaught errors, and promise rejections (with stack traces) directly to the MCP client. - Page state inspection – export form values, storage, and cookies so you can reproduce bugs or share context with teammates. - Full-page screenshots – grab viewport or entire-page images via the DevTools protocol, delivered as WebP for snappy transfers. - One-click tab focus – a popup UI for connecting, switching, and managing the controlled tab, plus a badge that shows when the extension is “live”. GREAT FOR: - LLM-driven browsing, form filling, and data extraction. - Automation flows inside MCP-enabled IDEs. - Quick bug reproduction: capture a snapshot, download console logs, attach state in seconds. - Building richer tools on top of the open MCP stack with no closed-source dependencies. Combine the extension with the YetiBrowser MCP server (npx yetibrowser-mcp) and you’re ready to automate the web from any MCP client
