Read any website in your own language, without leaving the page. Hover Translate shows a translation right next to your mouse. Rest the cursor on a sentence and a small box appears with the meaning. The original page stays exactly as it is, so you never lose your place. WHAT IT DOES • Hover to translate: rest your mouse on any text and see it in your language in about a second. • About 100 languages: the source language is detected automatically. Choose your own language once. • Pronunciation: shows pinyin for Chinese, romaji for Japanese, and romanization for Korean, Hindi, Arabic and Russian. • Price converter: hover over a price such as ¥12.50, $1,299, 200-300元 or 1.5万元 to see it in your own currency at today's exchange rate. • Word, sentence or paragraph: pick how much text to translate at a time. • Select to translate: drag over a phrase, or double-click a word, to translate exactly that. • Listen: hear the translation read aloud, or slowly with the turtle button. • Change language or currency right inside the box. • Hold-Alt mode: translate only while you hold the Alt key. • Turn it off for any website, or everywhere with Alt+Shift+T. HOW TO USE IT 1. Click the Hover Translate icon and choose your language and currency. 2. Open any web page and rest your mouse on some text. 3. Hover over a price to convert it. If nothing happens on a tab that was already open, refresh the page once. PRIVACY Hover Translate has no accounts, no ads and no analytics. To translate, the text you hover over or select is sent to an online translation service (Google Translate, with MyMemory as a fallback). Exchange rates are downloaded from ExchangeRate-API. Your settings are stored in your browser. In Chrome you can choose the on-device engine, which translates on your computer when the language pair is supported.
