Translate hovered, selected, popup, container, frame, or page DOM text in place, as an inline card, or in a top-layer overlay.

Detailed Description Translate text from its original location, including newly appearing text after the page opens. Select and translate only the untranslated parts after the page has loaded, such as Reddit, 1688, and Amazon. You can select text by hovering your mouse over it or dragging. You can also translate only the necessary range by right-clicking in popups, panels, frames, or page areas. The default display method replaces only the source text nodes with the translation in the same locations without replacing existing elements. It preserves existing fonts, links, card layouts, line breaks, and page behavior as much as possible. If needed, you can insert a translation card below the source text or switch to a small translation window displayed above the page popup. Dynamic DOM Translation Many websites add new content only after you click, scroll, or open a panel. Using the right-click translation menu allows you to translate the following: • Newly opened popups and layers • Comments and replies loaded later • Infinite scroll feeds and lists • iframes and frames allowed by the browser • User-selected page areas • The entire current page When Dynamic Content Translation is enabled, newly added or changed text continues to be translated while the selected DOM translation session is maintained. Restore Original You can revert DOM translations to the original text without refreshing the page. You can restore the following ranges: • Translate all DOM elements on the current page • Restore only the translations within the drag-selected area • Individual inline translation cards • Locally saved translation history Items not translated The following items are not translated: • Text contained within images, videos, Canvas, or graphics • Input fields and editable text areas • Code blocks and browser-protected pages • Closed Shadow DOM • Frames inaccessible due to browser security policies Privacy Policy When a translation is performed, the text to be translated and language settings for the page are sent via HTTPS to servers hosted by Google for translation processing. The page URL is intentionally not included in the translation request. Automatic restoration on return is turned off by default on new installations. Page URLs, source text, translations, language settings, display status, and restoration information are stored in Chrome local storage for 7 or 30 days only if the user manually enables it.
