Hover Preview Downloader

Find and save video preview files with a hover button or a simple list. Download videos you own or have permission to save.

Find and save video previews directly from your browser. Hover Preview Downloader helps you save standalone video files that you own or have permission to download. Hover over a video and use the Save preview button, or open the extension’s toolbar panel to browse detected files. FEATURES • Save previews using an on-video button or the toolbar panel. • Find video files through page players and media network responses. • See recently hovered videos first. • View duration, resolution, and file size when available. • Download standalone MP4, WebM, MOV, M4V, and Ogg video files. • Copy media URLs, refresh detected files, or clear the list. • Save actual Blob video files through the on-video button. HOW TO USE 1. Refresh the website after installing the extension. 2. Hover over a thumbnail until its video preview plays. 3. Click Save preview, or open the extension and select Download. 4. Choose a destination and check your browser’s Downloads page. PRIVACY No account is required. There are no analytics or advertising trackers. Detected media URLs and metadata are stored temporarily in your browser’s session memory and are not sent to the authors. URLs may contain signed access tokens, so treat copied links as private. When you download a file, your browser requests it from the original media host. LIMITATIONS Downloads save the complete source file; the extension does not trim or record the hover preview. Network detection may also list advertisements or other videos on the page. HLS/DASH playlists, separate stream segments, MediaSource blobs, DRM-protected media, and canvas-only previews are unsupported. Some websites may block downloads or use links that expire. Compatibility with every website is not guaranteed. Only download videos you own or have permission to save. This extension does not bypass access controls or DRM.
