Hoursmith

Fast team time tracking and quick capture for Hoursmith.

Hoursmith keeps time tracking and assigned work beside the page you are working on. Use the toolbar popup for quick timer actions and the side panel for your daily work. Key features: - Start, stop, trim, discard, and update project or task timers. - Review today's tracked time and recent entries. - Add manual time, tasks, clients, projects, and expenses. - Search assigned tasks and workspace records. - Open the exact Hoursmith project, task, time entry, expense, or invoice in the web application. - Keep timer starts, stops, and running-note updates queued during brief offline periods. Current-page capture is explicit and temporary. When you choose "Use this page" or invoke the Hoursmith context-menu action, Hoursmith can read only the active page's title, sanitized HTTP(S) URL, sanitized favicon URL, and up to 8,000 characters of selected plain text. You review and edit a preview before saving. Hoursmith does not capture full pages, screenshots, form fields, passwords, cookies, background tabs, or ongoing browsing history, and it installs no persistent content script. Receipt upload is optional. Chrome requests access to the exact receipt-storage host only after you select a receipt; denying that permission does not block timers, tasks, or other core features. Requires an authenticated Hoursmith team account. Existing workspace roles, project access, timer rules, and financial locks remain authoritative. Client-portal identities are not supported. Invoice building and sending, payments, reports, imports, and administrative settings remain in the Hoursmith web application.
