Overview

HORIZON — Explore possible futures with forecasting, scenario intelligence, evidence tracking, forecast memory and on-device AI.

> HORIZON — INITIALIZING > GEMINI NANO LOADED — ON-DEVICE — ZERO CLOUD DEPENDENCY > STATUS: READY TO FORECAST What happens to sea levels by 2100? Could Mars actually get colonized? How far can AI really go? HORIZON is a Chrome side panel that takes questions like these and turns them into structured forecasts. You type a subject, pick a time horizon, and get a detailed breakdown — not a vague prediction, but a layered analysis with facts, calculations, scenarios, and honest uncertainty. It runs entirely on your device using Gemini Nano. Nothing gets sent to a server. Your questions, your forecasts, your data — they stay on your machine. // 01 · HOW IT WORKS Pick a subject — anything from "global population" to "fusion energy" to "human lifespan." Choose how far ahead you want to look: 10 years, 50 years, or even a million. HORIZON then builds a forecast with: ◇ A timeline that separates what's known from what's calculated and what's speculative ◇ Three branching scenarios — optimistic, base case, and pessimistic — each with its own signals and reasoning ◇ A Monte Carlo fan chart that shows the range of possible outcomes, not just a single line ◇ An honest conclusion that tells you where the model is confident and where it's guessing You can also switch to Specific Year mode — pick 2050, 2100, or any year you want, and HORIZON projects the milestones along the way. // 02 · FORECASTING ENGINE ◇ Forecast any subject across time horizons from 10 years to 1,000,000 years, or lock in a specific target year (2030, 2050, 2100, or custom) ◇ Every forecast breaks into three clear scenarios — Constrained, Baseline, and Breakthrough — so you see the range of outcomes, not one guess ◇ A Monte Carlo confidence range visualizes uncertainty as a fan chart instead of a fake-precise single number ◇ Cited, sourced facts (climate science, demographics, physics, technology adoption curves) ground the AI's reasoning instead of pure speculation ◇ Choose Quick, Deep, or Evidence-first response modes depending on how much detail you want // 03 · ON-DEVICE AI — TRANSMISSION: NONE HORIZON runs on Chrome's built-in Gemini Nano model via the Prompt API — entirely on your device. There's no server, no account, and no telemetry. Your questions, forecasts, and settings never leave your computer. It even detects the language you type in (including Romanian) and answers in kind. // 04 · FORECAST MEMORY — YOUR TRACK RECORD ◇ Save every forecast to a searchable local archive, organized by category — Space, Technology, Science, Environment, Society, Economy, Energy ◇ Compare two forecasts side by side to see how different subjects evolve ◇ Regenerate a forecast later and see exactly how its scenarios shifted ◇ Rate your own past forecasts as correct, partial, or incorrect, and build a personal accuracy record over time ◇ Set a reminder to revisit any forecast on a future date ◇ Browse Future Watch — real-world indicators like population, CO₂, and sea level, projected forward as live examples of the method // 05 · MAKE IT YOURS A fully customizable HUD-style interface with 5 color presets (Ember, Ion, Nova, Vector, Mono), 3 frame styles, adjustable font scale and glow intensity, and a full color matrix if you want to design your own look. // 06 · WHO IT'S FOR Futurists, researchers, writers, forecasters, and anyone who's ever wondered "how might this actually play out?" — HORIZON turns idle curiosity into a structured, revisitable forecast you can trust the reasoning behind. // MODEL LIMITATIONS HORIZON doesn't predict the future. It explores possibilities. Every output is a model projection, not a guarantee. The math is real, the scenarios are grounded, but the future has a habit of doing its own thing. // REQUIREMENTS Chrome 116 or newer. A device that supports Gemini Nano (Chrome's on-device language model). That's it. > END TRANSMISSION
