HOOK
Overview
Identify the song playing in this Chrome tab. Lyrics overlay, catalog, library.
HOOK names the song playing in your Chrome tab. Tap the toolbar icon, press Alt+Shift+H, or right-click the page. HOOK listens for a few seconds, then locks the title, artist, year, and genre. Lyrics overlay the page. Spotify and Apple links open from the popup. HOOK first checks a small on-device station catalog. If that misses, it sends a short clip to AudD — a licensed commercial catalog of over 100 million recordings. Optional fallback identification is used only if AudD has no match. What HOOK does not do: • It does not capture DRM apps (Netflix, Spotify Web) • It does not create an account • It does not sell data • It does not run remote code Try it: open YouTube Music or a radio site, press Alt+Shift+H. Privacy: a few seconds of tab audio are captured after you ask and sent to AudD only to name the track. The clip is not stored. See the privacy policy linked on this listing.
