Replaces YouTube's clickbait thumbnails with a real frame from the middle of the video.

YouTube thumbnails are designed to get clicks, not to show you what's in the video. Honest Thumbnails replaces them with a real frame from the video itself. HOW IT WORKS YouTube automatically saves still frames from every video. Honest Thumbnails swaps the uploader's thumbnail for the frame from the middle of the video, in HD when one is available. If no frame exists, the original thumbnail stays. FEATURES • Works across YouTube, including the home feed, search results and the watch page sidebar • Also replaces the video player's preview image and the grid of videos shown when a video ends • Choose an early, middle or late frame • Turn it off with one click to see the original thumbnails again PRIVACY No account, no tracking, no data collected.
