Homebody PDF does the everyday PDF jobs in your browser, without uploading anything. A homebody stays home, and so do your files. What it does • Fills in forms: type straight into a PDF's own fields, or add text, the date, ticks and crosses anywhere on a page. • Signs: draw your signature, type it in a handwriting style, or use a picture of it. Up to 3 are remembered on your computer. • Edits text: in PDFs made on a computer (Word exports and the like), click a line and retype it. The old words are taken out of the file, not just covered. • Merges files: drop in PDFs and photos, drag pages into any order across files, and save them as one PDF. • Splits files: save just the pages you picked, or each page as its own PDF in a zip. • Rotates sideways pages and deletes the ones you don't need. Undo steps back through every change. • Adds page numbers, a watermark or a blank page; crops pages; covers things with whiteout; highlights what matters. • Saves pages as pictures (PNG or JPEG). • Compresses scans and photos so a PDF fits in an email. Text stays sharp. • Keeps form fields, links and bookmarks working for the pages you keep. • Handles big files: hundreds of pages and hundreds of megabytes. How to use it • Click the extension's icon to open it, then drop files onto the page or click Add files. • Click a page to select it; Shift-click selects a run. Drag pages to reorder them. • Double-click a page to fill it in and sign it. • Save PDF saves the whole board. Save selected pages, Save each page as a PDF, and Page tools are next to it. You sign in (Google, Microsoft or an emailed code) when you first save, so your saves and your purchase follow you to any computer. • After that, a one-time payment of $4.99, tax included, unlocks saving for good, on up to 3 signed-in devices. The extension's page is blocked from connecting to the internet, so nothing you open in it can be uploaded. • Your account holds only your email address, your save count, whether you've paid, and your signed-in devices. Never your files, their names, or what's in them. • It doesn't read the websites you visit, and has no ads or tracking. Limits • Password-protected PDFs need their password removed first. • Edit text works one line at a time, in the closest standard font; scanned pages can be covered with whiteout and new text instead.
