Holdfast

Save pages to Notion without losing them. Clips are kept on your device and retried until Notion accepts them.

Every other Notion clipper sends the page and hopes. Holdfast writes the clip to your device the moment you press Save, and only then tries Notion. A dead wifi, a closed laptop, a Notion outage — each of those delays a clip instead of destroying it. Nothing is reported as saved until Notion hands back a page address to prove it. There is no state where the extension says it worked and your workspace disagrees. WHAT A CLIP DOES - Waiting — still on your device. Retried on a schedule that backs off: one minute, then five, fifteen, an hour, six hours. - Saved — Notion confirmed it. The row links straight to the page that now exists in your workspace. - Failed — still here, and it says why. Expired access or an unshared database is the kind of problem retrying would only hide, so Holdfast stops and tells you instead. A clip that runs out of retries is marked, not deleted. You can send it again by hand at any time. The toolbar badge counts whatever has not landed yet. WHAT IT SAVES The page title, its address as a bookmark block, and either the text you selected or the page's own description. Filed into a Notion database you pick once. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO It is not a better editor, a template engine, or an AI summariser. Other clippers already do those well, and none of them fixed the complaint that actually recurs: the clip silently did not arrive. Holdfast does one thing and is finished. PRIVACY Holdfast has no server that stores your data. Clips live in your browser and in your own Notion workspace. There is no account, no analytics, and no tracking. The extension reads a page only at the moment you press Save — it uses activeTab rather than a content script, so it is not running on every site you visit. Three a day is deliberately reachable — a free tier nobody meets is a free product with extra steps, and a clip surviving an outage is something you should see before you are asked for money.
