Before You Send adds a safety check to your online messages. Each time you press Send, the extension reviews your message privately on your device and alerts you if the content may cause harm — before it reaches anyone else. HOW IT WORKS A warning appears whenever the extension detects something potentially harmful, giving you a moment to edit or confirm before sending. If the message is safe, nothing happens and it sends as normal. WHAT IT DETECTS The extension covers more than 50 categories of harmful content: threats and intimidation, bullying, sexual grooming, hate speech, financial fraud, phishing, extremist content, self-harm encouragement, blackmail, and more — across 14 languages. LINK SAFETY Suspicious shortened URLs, lookalike domain names, misleading web addresses, and credential-harvesting links are identified and flagged. Well-known trusted shorteners are allowlisted and never incorrectly flagged. INCOMING MESSAGE ALERTS A small, non-blocking alert appears when an incoming message contains a serious threat — so you are informed without interrupting your conversation. WEEKLY SUMMARY The extension icon shows a weekly count of flagged messages grouped by type. You can review them and mark any false alarms to improve accuracy over time. PRIVACY Everything runs locally in your browser. No message content ever leaves your device. Nothing is stored on external servers. No accounts, no subscriptions, no setup required.
