DogEar – Bookmarks and research projects for AI chats

Overview
Bookmark answers in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Grok, jump back to them in long chats, and collect them into projects.
AI chats are good at giving answers and bad at keeping them. The one you need is message 78 of 400, the chat's own search can't find it, and the research for one topic is spread across three different AIs. DogEar adds a small star under every AI answer, next to the site's own copy and retry buttons. Star an answer and it goes into a project you name. Later you can jump straight back to it, or read it in the Library without opening the chat at all. Works on ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Grok. IN THE CHAT • Click ☆ under an answer, pick a project or type a new one. That's it. Click ★ again to move it, add a note or remove it. • Alt+B opens a list of every star in the chat you're in. Click one and the page scrolls to it and highlights your question, even in long chats where the older messages haven't loaded yet. • Stars from other chats open in that chat, already scrolled to the right place. • Alt+↑ and Alt+↓ step through the stars in the current chat. • Add a short note to any answer, like "formula for Q3" or "use in chapter 2". It shows under the answer and in the Library. THE LIBRARY Click the toolbar icon to open it. • One project per topic, holding answers from any mix of AIs. • Search everything you've saved, filter by AI, sort by date, by AI or by chat. • Answers keep their code blocks, lists, tables and links. Maths is saved as readable text. • Copy an answer as plain text or Markdown, or export a whole project as a .md file. • "Copy as prompt" turns a project into one message you can paste into any AI to carry on the research. • Deleted projects and answers stay in Recently deleted for 30 days. • Light and dark mode. ON ANY OTHER WEBSITE Select some text, right-click, Save selection. It goes into your Inbox. YOUR DATA STAYS WITH YOU There's no account, no server and no analytics. Everything is stored in your own browser and nothing is sent anywhere. DogEar saves the answer text itself, not just a link, so your stars are still there if the chat gets deleted. Once a week it saves a backup file to Downloads/DogEar (you can turn this off), and you can restore it on another computer. DogEar is open source: github.com/rishitsharma017/DogEar Privacy policy: github.com/rishitsharma017/DogEar/blob/main/PRIVACY.md If a site changes and the star stops showing up, or something else breaks, please open an issue on GitHub.
