Overview

Enhance Google Scholar profiles with h-index frontier analysis, citation changes, publication filters, and local history.

Schoolar+ adds deeper citation and publication insights directly to Google Scholar profiles. Google Scholar provides citation counts, h-index, and i10-index. Schoolar+ builds on these metrics by helping researchers understand their h-index frontier, explore their publications, and observe how their citation profile changes over time. Citation Pulse • Observe changes in citations, h-index, and i10-index between locally stored snapshots. • See which matched publications gained or decreased in citations. • Identify newly observed publications and publications no longer present in the latest observation. • Distinguish citation-count changes from changes in the composition of a Scholar profile. • Filter publications according to their observed citation activity. • Preview Citation Pulse using simulated changes without modifying your real citation history. H-index analysis • See which citation-ranked publications currently define your h-index boundary. • Explore targets beyond your current h-index. • Calculate the minimum citation gains required to reach a selected h-index target. • Identify the frontier publications that would need additional citations for that target. • Visualize the citation distribution around your current h-index and selected target. Publication exploration • Number publications by citation rank. • Search loaded publications by title or metadata. • Filter publications by year, citation count, and observed citation change. • Explore citation milestones and the publications approaching them. • Jump directly from Schoolar+ analysis to relevant publications on the Scholar profile. Local history and snapshots • Maintain historical observations for your own profile and profiles you explicitly choose to track. • Compare observations to examine changes over time. • Manage stored snapshots from the Schoolar+ Dashboard. • Export a Schoolar+ backup and import it into another supported installation. Three ways to explore profiles Schoolar+ distinguishes between your own profile, profiles you explicitly track, and ordinary public profiles. • My Profile provides the complete personal analysis experience, including Citation Pulse and automatic publication loading. • Tracked profiles receive longitudinal observation and Citation Pulse without being designated as your own profile. • Other public profiles can be explored using current-state analysis without automatically creating citation history. Schoolar+ Dashboard Open the Dashboard to explore your citation history, snapshots, H-index analysis, tracked profiles, settings, backups, and locally stored Schoolar+ data. Privacy-conscious by design Citation analysis and historical comparisons are performed locally in your browser. Schoolar+ does not require a Schoolar+ account and does not upload your locally stored citation snapshots to a Schoolar+ server. Schoolar+ enhances Google Scholar rather than replacing it. Its interface is designed to work alongside the familiar Google Scholar profile experience. Independent software Schoolar+ is independently developed and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Google or Google Scholar. Created by Manuel B. Garcia. http://manuelgarcia.info/
